The plant is intended for the separation of non-ferrous metals in the recycling process. The input materials are previously ground and granulated in a shredder. The bulk of the ferromagnetic metals are already removed from the incoming mixture, and the remainder of these metals are removed before entering the key sorting machines. Materials come from various previous recycling processes in granulation from 0-120mm. The plant enables waste removal and efficient separation into individual metal fractions (Al, Cu, Brass, Zn, Pb, stainless steel).

In the plant there are 3 systems:

  1. System 1: Eddy current – X ray line;
  2. System 2: Chutec line;
  3. System 3: Color sorting line

1. System: Eddy current – X ray line:

The main components of the plant are:

  • Hopper 12m3, which allows the input of large quantities of materials with a front loader and controlled dosing into the screen via two conveyors. The material flow is defined by the user of the device according to the type of input material.
  • Vibrating screen, Separation into 4 different granulations for further processing: 
    • 0-3 mm into box under screen, 
    • 3-20 mm  further processing to EddyC-fines
    • 20-60 mm further processing to Eddy C
    • 60-120 mm elimination or further processing to Eddy C.
  • MOR separators The material falls onto the vibrating table, which spreads it out and leads it to a magnetic drum, which removes any ferromagnetic metals.
  • Separators EddyC and EddyC-fines are machines for separation of non-ferrous metals from other materials with eddy currents.
  • Separator X-ray-1 is a machine that detects various materials with the help of CRTG gamma rays. In our case, it separates aluminum from the rest of the material.
  • Separator X-ray-2 is a machine that detects various materials with the help of CRTG gamma rays. In our case, it separates pure aluminum and aluminum castings.

2. System: Chutec line:

Material 0-20 mm granulation travels to the system via the Zalogovnik. The hopper dispenses material into the Chutec CSS separator. Using X-ray fluorescence and laser (3D detection), this separator separates several types of materials depending on the settings (Cu, Ms, Zn, Al, Pb, SS). Two conveyors are placed under the device, one of which transports the material that we want to separate from the rest of the material into a container/bag (eject), and the other transports the rest of the material into a container/bag for re-sorting (drop). Next to both conveyors there are also platforms for manual material control.

3. System: Color sorting line:

Material 20-120 mm granulation travels via Bunker to the sorting device. The Bunker doses the material into the KSS XF L via conveyors, the KSS separates several types of materials depending on the settings (Cu, Ms, Zn, Al, Pb, SS) with the help of X-ray fluorescence, laser (3D detection), inductive sensor and color detection. The separated material falls on two conveyors under the device, one of which takes the material separated from the rest of the material into a container/bag (eject), and the other takes the rest of the material into a container/bag for re-sorting (drop). Next to both conveyors there are also platforms for manual material control.
