Sorba Sorting is an automated metal sorting plant with 3 processing lines. It offers multiple treatment routes by size class and technology stage. Material is buffered and dosed for stable belt loading. Transfer points between machines are clean and controlled. Screening creates defined size classes before ferromagnetic removal, ECS and sensor sorting. This improves separation repeatability and supports consistent recovery across changing input.

Process overview (3 lines)

Line 1 (Screening → ECS → X-ray, Al): Front-loader hopper (12 m³) → screening into size fractions (0–3 / 3–20 / 20–60 / 60–120 mm) → ferromagnetic removal stage → ECS on target fractions → X-ray sorting: aluminium vs rest → aluminium refined to pure Al vs castings.

Line 2 (Chutec CSS, 0–20 mm): 0–20 mm fraction → Chutec CSS separator (XRF + laser/3D) → material-specific eject/drop streams (Cu, brass, Zn, Al, Pb, stainless steel; as required) → QC platforms for re-sort.

Line 3 (Color sorting, 20–120 mm): 20–120 mm fraction → bunker dosing → KSS XF L sorting (XRF + laser/3D + inductive + color) → eject/drop conveyors → QC platforms.
