Rotary Metal Purifier - RMP

Mechanical purification for dirty metal fractions — clean without shredding.

Rotary Metal Purifier - RMP

The RMP (Rotary Metal Purifier) is a batch rotary drum process that mechanically purifies ferrous and non-ferrous metal concentrates using abrasion and controlled impact. Light fraction and dust are extracted from the cleaned metal stream, improving surface cleanliness and concentrate purity without shredding — with low fines generation and minimal metal loss.

The system is modular, transport-friendly and outdoor-ready, available in mobile, semi-mobile or stationary execution. The configuration is matched to the material, required output quality, installation concept and site conditions.

Developed in partnership by OMNIKON, ScrapBooster and PRO TEHNO.

Visible purification effect

RMP mechanically cleans dirty metal fractions by abrasion and controlled impact. The process removes light fraction and dust from the metal stream, improving surface cleanliness and concentrate purity without shredding.

Aluminum Cleaning

Dirty aluminium fraction before and after RMP treatment. The process improves surface cleanliness while keeping fines generation and metal loss low.

RMP Benefits

Typical input materials

  • IBA metals
  • Zorba
  • Non-ferrous concentrates
  • Mixed aluminium scrap
  • Other dirty metal fractions with surface contamination

Benefits

  • Improved concentrate purity and metal product value
  • Less claims and more stable product quality
  • Recover more value from “dirty” metal streams
  • Reduced wear parts demand and operating energy
