Aluminium sorting
Aluminium recovery line with discharge weighing
Location
Austria
Year
2024
Extensive upgrade of an existing aluminium sorting line, engineered for high-efficiency recovery with full output traceability. Material is screened into three size fractions and treated through ferrous removal and eddy current separation on each line. All discharge streams are equipped with weighing to enable mass balance by fraction, batch control, supplier assessment and clear reporting.
Process overview (3 size lines)
Line 1 (0–15 mm): Screen 0–15 mm → magnetic separation (ferrous removal) → ECS → weighed discharges
Line 2 (15–40 mm): Screen 15–40 mm → magnetic separation (ferrous removal) → ECS → weighed discharges
Line 3 (40–110 mm): Screen 40–110 mm → magnetic separation (ferrous removal) → ECS → weighed discharges
Key technology
- Screening & size classification (0–15 / 15–40 / 40–110 mm)
- Magnetic separation (FEremoval)
- Eddy current separation
- Weighing on all discharges
Services
- Layout & plant engineering within existing constraints (space, logistics, existing equipment)
- Mechanical integration (conveyors, transfer points, platforms, guarding)
- Integration of sorting devices into one continuous process (interfaces, feeding, discharge handling)
- Weighing integration and data consistency across all discharge points
- Automation / parameter tuning, start-up and handover
